Substitute for CFC-11 and CFC-13 as cleaning agent, foaming agent and refrigerant

2.2-dichloro-1, 1.1-Trifluoroethane or HCFC-123 is considered an alternative to CFC-11 in low-pressure/HVAC cooling systems. Its ozone depletion potential is ODP = 0.012, and the potential for global warming-GWP = 76.

The HCFC-123 is used in large tonnes of centrifugal cooler, and is the most efficient refrigerant currently used in the market for HVAC applications.
