Phosphoric acid (molecular structure type H3PO4) is colorless, transparent and viscous liquid or rhombic crystal, odorless and sour. 85% phosphoric acid is a colorless, transparent or slightly light-colored, thickened liquid. Melting point 42.35℃, specific gravity 1.70 ℃, high boiling point acid, can be mixed with water at any ratio, boiling point 213℃ (loss of 1/2 water), the formation of pyrophosphoric acid. Becomes metaphosphoric acid when heated to 300℃. Relative density 181.834. Soluble in water, soluble in ethanol. Phosphoric acid is a common inorganic acid. Its acidity is weaker than sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, but stronger than acetic acid, boric acid and carbonic acid. Phosphoric acid reacts with sodium carbonate at different pH to form different acid salts. Can irritate the skin, cause inflammation, and damage the body and tissues. Concentrated phosphoric acid erodes when heated in porcelain. Moisture absorption, sealed storage.
